My trip to Switzerland 2-6 June 2007

by sweetpea_in_switzerland @ 2007-06-08 - 18:19:29

Hello everybody. I went to Switzerland for 5 days with Evita and we had an excellent time but I guess the pictures speak for themselves.

We left London on Saturday evening, flew with Sl-eazyjet (flight got delayed for a change...) Anyways, after we got to Geneva we took a train to Lausanne where Sara picked us up and we had our first McDonalds - welcome to Switzerland! /by the way the fries suck./

Next morning we got up early and took the bus to Ouchy and then had a lovely cruise on Lake Geneva to Montreux. I kept posing for pictures non-stop, in the evening neither of the girls wanted to take any more photos of me haha. We walked a lot during the day and when we got home I discovered that I got the worst sunburn ever therefore for the next three days I couldn't wear short sleeved even though it was really hot...

One of my favourites.... How handsome one can be?...

On Monday we looked around in Lausanne, went to a long established chocolate shop and in the evening we ended up in a small amusement park… I don’t think the girls have very nice memories of it… Both of them got really dizzy and Sara almost puked. Nice.

Here we go again... Evita never imagined that it will be an easy ride

Tuesday: Time to see the real country side and taste some yummy fondue. I tell you that Le Gruyere is the place to go. After tasting cheese in the factory we walked up the hill to the castle and had a lovely late lunch. Everything was superb except the big fat cow waitress who was the perfect example why we detest the French. However all in all people were quite helpful and nice.

">Always have time for showing off... <img src=" vspace="5" hspace="5" />I took this pic from the train.... mooooooErm... no commentThe medieval village - Le GruyereA cool pub in the village.Yay it is lunch time and of course fondue is on the menu!In the castle with EvitaWith a beautiful newfoundland dog in the village.

Unfortunately Sara couldn’t come with us to Geneva on Wednesday because she had to do some work on her project. After our tearful good bye at the station (not really…) we took the train to Geneva. One of the highlights of the day was the United Nations tour, it was very interesting to see where all these important people work and hold their meetings. Then we walked around the city centre, climbed a few hundred stairs up to the top of the Cathedral but the view was definitely worth it.

Brilliant time - 5 out of 5 stars :) Can’t wait to go back and next time I wanna see Zurich!
